Dairy farming has been in the Davis family for over 60 years,now in its third generation at Gorstage Green farm. We maintain a high standard of health and welfare of the Crosshillocks herd of pedigree Holstein cows.
Our aim is to give people the chance to come for a day and experience what life is like for a young dairy farmer running a one man business of 90 milking cows plus followers. Your day could include everything from milking the cows, feeding the baby calves, trimming cows feet or mucking out the bull.
The day can take any shape or form you wish whether it is an early start for a full day or just a couple of hours in the afternoon. A full day will include lunch at the local pub down the road and for everyone a bottle of wine and of coure, some Charlies’s butter to take home. The cost of your full day is £175 or £70 for half a day.
